We see it in our own business of building and selling hunting blinds. The cost of a blind is anywhere from $1,000 all the way up to $7,000 and everything in between.

On average, we can share that the cost of building your own blind is typically between $1,000 to $1,500 when you are purchasing ALL of the materials at retail. Sure it can be done for less and in some cases much less. These situations are when there is existing materials or buying materials at a scratch and dent or surplus or recycling center. But, we work with clients all over the US and the average is $1,000 to $1,500. It can also be much higher and more often it is. We have talked to many DIY guys and gals that have spent $3,000 or $4,000 or $5,000 or some even higher.
